SsangYong Motor Co. launched the all-new Rexton SUV in South Korea, priced at 37 million won to 50 million won, to boost sales amid the pandemic.
The new 2.0-liter diesel engine-equipped SUV with an eight-speed automatic transmission replaces the G4 Rexton SUV as the company's flagship.
Safety features include lane-keeping assistance, lane change warning, blind-spot warning, and autonomous emergency braking systems, it said.
The pandemic further drove SsangYong's vehicle sales this year.
For the first nine months, it suffered a net loss of 304.82 billion won, increasing from 185.47 billion won in the same period of last year.
Its sales from January to October dropped 22 percent to 84,904 vehicles from 109,122 units in the previous year.
SsangYong's lineup consists of the Rexton, Rexton Sports SUVs, Tivoli, and Korando.
Indian firm Mahindra owns a 74.65 percent stake in SsangYong.
