ULSAN, South Korea, Jan. 24, 2018 -- Standard Graphene, Inc. announced today that it has commercialized 'graphene', a material of dreams, in a world first.
Standard Graphene, Inc. has been producing world-class graphene mass production technology based on 21 years of experience in carbon nanotechnology research.
In 2009, Standard Graphene was the first company in the world to introduce mass-producing graphene processes and developed equipment.
Standard Graphene has the only mass production facilities which are capable of stably producing Graphene Oxide (GO), Graphene Platelet (GP) and Graphene (rGO) in Korea.
Jim Rogers, a former Chairman of Rogers Holdings and Beeland Interests, Inc., visited Seoul in January 2017 to invest in the world's only graphene mass producer, Standard Graphene, Inc.
Standard Graphene is known as a leading graphene manufacturing and application product development company in South Korea.
Standard Graphene have been developing graphene bicycles, water filters, and composite material, and is currently collaborating with several global companies such as Boeing in the USA.
Jim Rogers, who has emphasized graphene as a key ingredient in leading the 4th industrial revolution, is also an investor and advisor to Standard Graphene.
Jung-Hoon Lee, the President and CEO of Standard Graphene, Inc., is a graphene evangelist. He is attending Korea and global conferences and working for developing the technologies and expanding the market.
Whenever he explained the excellence of graphene at the conference, famous for demonstrating the excellence of graphene on bicycles and frying pans made of a mixture of graphene.
He explains that adding a small amount of graphene to a nonferrous metal can make a lightweight body, and mixing a small amount of graphene with iron in a frying pan casting process can reduce the weight of the frying pan and improve its thermal conductivity.
In general, the weight of a bicycle for a race is about 6 - 7 ㎏, but a graphene bicycle can reduce its weight to 5.5 ㎏.
Lee made a keynote speech at the Graphene + Smart Graphene Society in July 2017 at the Golden Harbor Hotel in Beijing, China.
Graphene, attracting attention as a 'new material of dreams', is not only an interior material for transportation such as airplanes, railways, and cars, but also various materials using from electronic materials such as semiconductors to building materials.
