“Star Wars Battlefront 2” is going to shake things up in the future as it’s heavily speculated that two female heroines will be added to the fold. The heroines in question are Padme and Ahsoka, both of whom play heavy roles in turning Anakin towards the dark side, GameSpot reported.
While EA hasn’t announced anything yet, a couple of sleuths over at Reddit managed to solidify these claims after digging up a source code regarding the interactions of Padma and Ahsoka. This interaction is between the pair and General Grievous, a character that recently made his way to “Star Wars Battlefront 2.”
Fans of the game have been excited after news of this broke out and it’s understandable if one truly understands the relationship between these additions, particularly on Ahsoka’s part. What got people really excited is the possible team-up between Obi-Wan, Anakin, and Ahsoka in “Star Wars Battlefront 2.”
The hype stems from the relationship of these characters and how their storyline is interwoven in the “The Clone Wars” universe. While Obi-Wan’s bond with Anakin is a well-known fact in mainstream media, only hardcore followers of the franchise know the relationship between Anakin and Ahsoka. In a nutshell, Ahsoka is the apprentice of Anakin and was the one who showed her the way of the Force. So with Obi-Wan being the master of Anakin, and Anakin being the master of Ahsoka, it’s understandable that the upcoming addition in “Star Wars Battlefront 2” got people really pumped up.
What’s more, EA already revealed that their process of adding heroes should be balanced by introducing the said heroes’ counterparts. So it isn’t just Padme and Ahsoka who are expected to join “Star Wars Battlefront 2” but two new villains as well. Right now, it’s still unclear who these will be.
However, fans are speculating that Jango Fett will be Padme’s counterpart given that he’s a major antagonist in the films and has attempted to assassinate Padme several times. Meanwhile, Asajj Ventress is the easiest guess as Ahsoka’s counterpart since both have had several run-ins with each other in the “The Clone Wars” saga. “Star Wars Battlefront 2” will certainly get a major wind in its sails once all these characters ultimately make their way to the game, breathing new life to the gameplay and the overall immersion of players.
