“Star Wars" Episode 9 is going to herald a new way of granting powers to the population across the galaxy it’s set in. In the past, a person’s lineage, pedigree, and training heavily influenced his or her chance of becoming a Force user. But given what transpired in the previous movie, it seems that the film is breaking away from this pattern and setting up a new one.
Fans saw at the end of episode 8 that a slave child is Force-sensitive, exhibiting abilities found only in the likes of Siths and Jedis. While the parents of the child have yet to be revealed, it’s safe to assume that they are nobodies, similar to the storyline of Rey. It’s still unclear whether or not this child will appear in “Star Wars” Episode 9.
What fans know about this particular minor character is that he can use the Force and that his name is Temiri Blagg, which sounds similar to his real name, Temirlan Blaev, Inverse reported. Will this child be an integral part of the plot of “Star Wars” Episode 9 and the whole franchise moving forward?
Current information about this implies he will not be, although crazier things have happened in previous films. Perhaps he will be the next Vader? It could happen, but all that is speculation at this point and fans will have to wait for “Star Wars” Episode 9 to truly see how the plot turns out.
Aside from guessing the plot, fans are also taking shots at what “Star Wars” Episode 9's title is going to be. Franchise fans over at Reddit have already made their predictions in a thread and the most promising of speculation is “Star Wars: The New Order.” A Reddit user had successfully predicted the title of episode eight in the past and this one is a pretty good guess as well.
What makes it stand out is that it can be applied to the Jedi and Sith order, both of which are completely dead at this point of the story given that Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) and Snoke (Andy Serkis) are gone. A new order of Jedi and Sith can be the main plot for “Star Wars” Episode 9, with both camps trying to revive their respective factions.
“Star Wars” Episode 9 is scheduled for release on Dec. 20, 2019. Most of the cast in the previous installment are expected to make an appearance depending on their role, and even Carrie Fisher is included in the film. JJ Abrams said that unseen footage of the late actress will be incorporated into the ninth installment, although the director is tight-lipped about how exactly they’re going to fit her into the scheme things.
