In a groundbreaking partnership, Starbucks, Samsung Electronics Co., and Kia Corporation team up for the launch of Kia's new EV9 sports utility vehicle. The partnership extends beyond the vehicle itself, featuring an array of EV9-inspired products, including Samsung's portable TV screen—The Freestyle EV9 Edition—and Starbucks' eco-friendly goods.
Pulse News reported that these major brands based in South Korea and abroad are teaming up to work on various collaborative marketing activities for Kia EV9, which is a large electric SUV that will be introduced soon as the car maker's flagship model.
In connection with the partnership, Samsung Electronics said earlier this week that it would release The Freestyle EV9 Edition portable TV screen. The company said this device will allow people to watch videos while on the move or traveling.
The electronics giant added Kia's "EV9" to the portable screen's name because it has a unique skin featuring a digital pattern lighting grille in shades similar to the upcoming KIA EV9 SUV, which is ocean matte blue. Those who will buy The Freestyle will enjoy special entertainment anywhere they go, as the EV9 screen was optimized for outdoor activities like camping.
The device could be charged directly from the SUV as well. This collaborative item between Kia and Samsung has been described as a first of its kind.
The Korea Bizwire reported that Kia mainly tapped Starbucks and Samsung for a collaboration to celebrate the launch of its EV9. As for the other merchandise that will be sold through the partnerships, customers can choose from a range of Starbucks items, from Boston bags and pouches to reusable cups, EV9-themed straws, and cup sleeves. It is good to note that most of the products are eco-friendly.
Finally, Kia's EV9 model can seat seven passengers in its three rows of seating, and the Boston Bag was made based on this seat configuration. The bag can be divided into two up to six compartments through its installed dividers. Meanwhile, the EV9 SUV has been gaining so much attention and already attracted 10,000 pre-orders within just eight days since the registration started.
