“Steven Universe” is currently on a break and fans are still waiting for the release of the 26th episode of season 5. But on a good note, it has been previously confirmed that the series will be renewed for “Steven Universe” season 6.
Cartoon Network has not had one grand announcement for “Steven Universe” season 6 just yet. The still unreleased season 5 episode 26 could be the explanation to that. But there are several indications confirming that the animated series will go on for another installment.

Back in 2017, Deedee Magno Hall, a.k.a. the voice actor for Pearl, shared a series of photos on Twitter while recording some script for the animated series. Eagle-eyed fans noticed that in the third image, a monitor inside a recording booth is seen flashing the numbers “609” and “610.” Some suggested that those numbers could be referring to code numbers for “Steven Universe” season 6 episodes.
Fast-forward to April 2018, voice actor Leisha Medina was also spotted replying to a fan on Twitter. She confirmed that they have started working on “Steven Universe” season 6 but clarified that she cannot confirm anything yet about the next installment.
The following month, the official Cartoon Network Instagram page subtly confirmed that there will be a “Steven Universe” season 6. When a worried fan asked if season 5 is the franchise’s finale, Cartoon Network said, “No, there’s more to come!”
Now, the question is when “Steven Universe” season 6 is going to premiere. It is still difficult to put out an estimate especially since the current season is not over yet. The franchise is also not known for maintaining a rigid timeline.
The number of episodes in season 5 is also not yet confirmed. Episode 25 was released during the San Diego Comic-Con last July and fans are expecting there will be an episode 26, though no one knows when it will come. So while “Steven Universe” season 6 is happening, its premiere date is also not set in stone just yet. However, there are rumors that it might arrive sometime in 2019.
