“Steven Universe” season 6 is being anticipated now that the fifth installment has ended last month. However, there is still no news if the cartoon series will get a renewal order from Cartoon Network.
There are speculations that “Steven Universe” season 6 is not coming anymore because season 5’s finale titled "Battle of the Heart and Mind” ended in a way that the viewers think it was the very last episode of the series. Then again, there is also the possibility that it will continue for another run but this has yet to be announced.
As shared on Steven Universe fandom, “Steven Universe” season 6 is not yet renewed as of Feb. 4. Thus, this only means that the show is not in the works yet and somehow this makes fans worry since production may not resume at all.
What’s more, there is the movie version of the cartoon show and this could be the reason why series creator Rebecca Sugar or Cartoon Network are not saying anything about “Steven Universe” season 6. The team may be focusing on the movie at this time so the works for the sixth sequel could have taken a back seat.
In any case, once confirmed to return, Express reported that “Steven Universe” season 6 is expected to bring back its regular main cast led by Zach Collison as Steven. He will be supported by his Crystal Gem friends that include Pearl (Deedee Magno), Amethyst (Michaela Dietz) and Garnet (Estelle). Of course, Peridot (Shelby Rabara) and Greg Universe (Tom Scharpling) will be around as well to reprise their roles.
While info about “Steven Universe” season 6 is scarce, it is more likely to return because there are hints that say it will like when a fan asked if season 5 is the last, Cartoon Network responded by saying “No, there’s more to come.” Meanwhile, “Steven Universe: The Movie” is predicted to debut in the fall.
