Stormy Daniels and husband Glendon Crain are separating, and it was the latter who filed for divorce this week. He cited adultery as the grounds for filing the case in a Texas court.
The porn star became a sensation after she alleged that she had an affair with Donald Trump before he became the 45th president of the United States. Her story was reported around the world especially because Stormy Daniels claimed she was paid to shut her mouth regarding their affair.
She said that it was Trump’s personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, who made the deal with her in 2016, prior to the U.S. elections. Stormy Daniels narrated that she received money in exchange for her silence. The U.S. president denied the affair but the story still dragged on.
At any rate, Stormy Daniels and Glendon Crain married in 2015 and settled in Texas. But this month, they left their home. The ex-couple has a 7-year-old daughter whom he wants to have the sole custody of.
According to The Guardian, the former adult film actor, whose stage name was Brendon Miller, filed the petition on July 18 in Kaufman County district court. In the 13-page document, aside from the divorce petition, he also sought the sole custody of their daughter and was granted a temporary restraining order against Stormy Daniels.
Glendon Crain is also asking for child support from Stormy Daniels as well as proportionate sharing of their property. Incidentally, when the divorce was filed, a new story emerged and it revealed a new side of Stormy and Glendon’s marital relationship.
As per Dallas News, despite giving the impression that they are a loving couple, the police stated that the two may have also engaged in physical violence at home. It was revealed that just four months prior to their wedding in 2015, Stormy Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, called the police and Glendon was arrested for domestic violence.
Based on police records, the couple had argued over the cost of an oil change. The argument escalated as Glendon verbally abused Stormy before throwing a fan at her.
She was able to dodge the attack but her husband pushed her and she fell in the living room. In the end, she sustained bruises and a twisted foot. However, the case versus Glendon was dismissed as she did not press any charges.
This story was brought up by Stormy Daniel’s attorney, Michael Avenatti, in an effort to dispute Glendon’s petition for the sole custody of their child.
My client Stormy Daniels and her husband Glen have decided to end their marriage. A petition for divorce was filed last week, the accuracy of which is vehemently disputed. Stormy’s daughter remains her number one priority. She kindly asks for privacy for the sake of her family.
