‘Supernatural’ season 12’s episode 19, titled “The Future,” will feature Sam and Castiel getting in conflict with one another when they discover that they are planning different things in attempts to deal with Lucifer’s spawn. Meanwhile, Kelly will be forced to make a brave decision about the future of her baby with Lucifer.
The synopsis for “The Future” posted on TV Guide reads, “Sam (Jared Padalecki) comes up with a way to stop Lucifer's (guest star Mark Pellegrino) baby, but Castiel (Misha Collins) has something else in mind for Kelly (guest star Courtney Ford); Dean (Jensen Ackles) is furious when he finds out someone stole the colt; Kelly makes a bold choice about the baby's future.”
The upcoming episode may see Sam getting into conflict with his friend, Castiel, when the two find themselves at odds about what to do with the Lucifer-Kelly problem. While Sam is adamant about stopping Lucifer’s baby for good, Castiel has other plans for Kelly.
Sam and Dean believe that the baby must not be allowed to come into the world in the first place. They know that they must kill the devil’s spawn even before Kelly gives birth to it. However, the angel may have another strategy in his attempts to deal with the difficult situation.
Meanwhile, Kelly will be forced to make a decision about the future of her baby, according to Cartermatt. The promo opens to Dagon (Ali Ahn) telling Kelly that if the baby is born, Kelly will meet her death. Kelly looks terrified and anxious upon hearing the news.
Dagon is a prince of hell and one of the first demons created by Lucifer. Dagon took Kelly under her wing in the guise of helping protect her. However, it seems that Dagon has other intentions and is ready to tell Kelly the truth about her situation.
Another scene shows Castiel and Dagon fighting it out. It seems that he has decided to go to the demon’s lair without his companions. Sam eventually catches up to Castiel after he is put on a chokehold and begins shooting Dagon from the back.
However, the demon merely looks back at Sam in anger. The promo ends to Castiel telling the Winchester brothers, “She’s difficult to kill.” Dean only replies, “You think?”
‘Supernatural’ season 12’s episode 19, titled “The Future,” is scheduled to air on The CW on April 27, 2017. It was directed by Amanda Tapping and written by Robert Berens & Meredith Glynn. It will be followed by episode 20, titled "Twigs & Twine & Tasha Banes," scheduled to be released on May 4 and directed by Richard Speight, Jr.
