Suzlon Ltd has secured a 39-MW order in India from renewable energy firm First Energy 5 Pvt Ltd, to supply 13 units of its 3-MW series turbines for a wind park project at Thalaikattupuram, scheduled to be completed next year.
The wind park is part of First Energy’s 100 MW wind-solar hybrid project.
Power from the project will be supplied to a group of captive customers under the Group Captive mechanism.
Suzlon an Indian wind turbine manufacturer, will also oversee the erection and commissioning of the turbines using a hybrid lattice tubular (HLT) tower. Upon the project’s completion, Suzlon would also provide operations and maintenance services.
Suzlon announced a 50.4-MW order earlier this month for 24 units of its 2.1-MW wind turbines.
