Swedish total industrial orders fall in February

Swedish total industrial orders dropped in the month of February. On a sequential basis, the total orders dropped 2 percent. On a year-on-year basis, the total orders fell 2.8 percent in the month of February, showed Statistics Sweden.

A majority of the industrial subsectors saw negative growth on a sequential basis. Among the industrial subsectors, the largest fall was seen in motor vehicles, which fell 12.7 percent sequentially. Total orders in industry dropped in the domestic market as well as in the export market on a month-on-month basis. The domestic market saw a fall of 1.6 percent, while the export market recorded a decline of 2.3 percent.

On an annual basis, orders received from customers in Sweden dropped 2 percent, whereas orders received from customers abroad dropped by 3.4 percent.
