“Sword Art Online: Alicization - War of Underworld” episode 13 will be this arc’s second cour and finale. It is expected to pick up from episode 12’s “Ray of Light” story that showed Vecta and the villains dispersing thousands of American players to destroy the underworld and the human empire.
It has been almost four months since the anime was last seen on-air, and the good news is that it will be back very soon. “Sword Art Online: Alicization - War of Underworld” episode 13 will feature the characters who are fighting to keep the underworld and the human empire safe, and they are Renly, Bercouli, Sheyta, Asuna, Alice, and Kirito.
Kirito’s return
Yes, Kirito is returning as he has woken up from his long hibernation. This was confirmed in the preview teaser for “Sword Art Online: Alicization - War of Underworld” episode 13 that was unveiled in February.
Iskahn, the leader of the Pugilists, may also fight with them as he appeared to have changed sides and refused to be used by Vecta anymore. In fact, he and the Pugilists already started fighting the American players alongside Sheyta as Bercouli, and Asuna ran after Vecta, who took Alice to bring her to the World End’s altar.
Kirito’s return means a lot to the team because from the onset of the war; they said that they need him if they would like to win. They admitted that he is their only chance to survive in the brutal fight, so with him waking up, they have a bigger chance of toppling down the enemies and reclaim the underworld.
Plot prediction
As for Alice, it is not yet known if Bercouli and Asuna will succeed in rescuing Alice from the hands of Vecta. “Sword Art Online: Alicization - War of Underworld” episode 13 will show if the villain succeeded in acquiring Alice’s light cube and use it for his own agenda and to increase his power. Perhaps, Kirito will wake up just in time to help save Alice.
“Sword Art Online: Alicization - War of Underworld” episode 13 will arrive on April 25, which just two weeks away. It will feature a total of 12 episodes according to Anime News Network, and fans can view it via Funimation, HIDIVE, Hulu, and Crunchyroll.
