“Dr. Stone” season 2 is much awaited and clearly, it gained a number of followers since it was released. The anime was created by Riichiro Inagaki and Bochi illustrated the manga where the animation was based on. Shinya Lino directed the TV series and fans were in awe at how he presented the manga on television.
The new arc
Needless to say, it was well-received that when the first season ended, the viewers are waiting for updates with regards to “Dr. Stone” season 2 release. They are not worried about the renewal anymore since this was already announced last year.
In December 2019, just a few days before Christmas, TOHO Animation posted “Dr. Stone” season 2’s first trailer to confirm the second installment. The clip was short but it provided the detail that the anime will return with a new plot. As shown in the video, “Dr. Stone” season 2 will be back with featuring the “Stone Wars” arc.
Apparently, with this reveal, the viewers now know that “Dr. Stone” season 2 will be presented with a different story although it will maintain the same set of characters. It is also expected to refer to some things related to the first season.
What to expect
The teaser showed Senku, Gen and Chrome making a promise to fight until the end. They could be saying that they will be facing Tsukasa together and will fight him until they can bring back civilization again. It is still their main goal to save civilization and solve the mystery of petrification.
Since they already acquire many tools and equipment to fight their enemies, they can be victorious in their battles in “Dr. Stone” season 2. Their tools also make Senku and the villagers powerful since they are well-equipped.
Airdate - when is it coming?
“Dr. Stone” has no premiere date as of this time but it is likely to be announced soon if it will be out this year. Game Revolution suggested the month of July but then, this is just a prediction. Once the anime arrives, fans can watch the episodes via Funimation and Crunchyroll, as usual.
