Now that the first cour of this current installment has ended, fans have been asking when “Sword Art Online” Season 3 Episode 25 will air. As of this writing, nothing has been announced just yet.
But while Aniplex, A-1 pictures, or anyone involved in the production of the anime remains mum about “Sword Art Online” Season 3 Episode 25, it is believed that the hiatus will end in six months. That put its release date on October 2019.
Regarding the episode count of the second cour, it’s believed to be the same as the first one, which puts it at 24. While it was previously announced that the current installment will have an overall episode count of 50, the Blue-Ray/DVD box sets only lists the first cour at eight, with each volume containing three episodes. If the second cour treads the same path, then “Sword Art Online” Season 3 Episode 25 will be part of that 24 figure, MonsterAndCritics reported.
So what will happen when the series returns? After his intense fight against Administrator Quinella, Kirito will be recuperating for a while with Alice there to ensure his recovery goes swimmingly. “Sword Art Online” Season 3 Episode 25 could start with Alice taking the young protagonist to visit her hometown, Rulid Village.
Following that, she’s going to be rallying the people of Human Empire to prepare for the impending arrival of the Dark Territory’s forces. As such, fans should be treated with yet another action-packed arc with “Sword Art Online” Season 3 Episode 25 kick-starting the whole thing.
There will also be a bit of mystery surrounding the second cour since little is known about the Dark Territory. The only certainty of the place is that its denizens are brutal and violent. Although there is a treaty that compels these races to maintain the peace, it is thought that the whole agreement is merely temporary to unite them against a common foe, the Human Empire. Whatever the case, “Sword Art Online” Season 3 Episode 25 is expected to build the tension for this upcoming collision, with Kirito in the center of the storm once more.
