Huawei, one of the world’s largest smartphone OEMs, selected Synaptics® for its industry-leading capacitive-based performance, innovation, and time-to-market advantage.
Synaptics Natural ID fingerprint sensors are featured on the new Huawei Honor 7X and the Maimang 6. These latest Natural ID integrations add to the previously announced sensors selected for the Huawei Honor 6C, Honor 6A, Nova 2 and Nova 2 Plus smartphones.
Synaptics TouchView™ TDDI, a technology pioneered by Synaptics, is featured on Huawei’s Honor 6A, Honor 9, Honor V10, Nova 2, Nova 2 Plus, Nova 3 Plus, Mate 9, P10, and P11 smartphones. Three of the Huawei models carry both TouchView and Natural ID including Honor 6A, Nova 2 and the Nova 2 Plus.
Synaptics’ high-performance Natural ID™ fingerprint sensors are available with SentryPoint™ technology, offering OEMs a wide range of unique and highly secure authentication features including match-in-sensor technology, Quantum Matcher™ with PurePrint™ anti-spoof technology, and SecureLink™ 256-bit AES encryption with TLS 1.2 secure communication, and MultiMatch™, a multi-factor fusion engine that combines scores from both fingerprint and facial scans.
Synaptics TouchView™ TDDI merges touchscreen controller and display driver IC (DDIC) technologies into a single chip. Synaptics TouchView enables faster time-to-market, lower overall system cost, a simplified supply chain, thinner devices, brighter displays and borderless designs.
