TVS Motor Company reported record combined two- and three-wheeler sales for the September quarter, alongside a 52% rise in standalone profit after tax, as revenue and EBITDA also advanced.
The company said it sold 1.9 million units across the two categories in the quarter, a 27% increase from a year earlier and a new quarterly high. The results cover the three months ended Sept. 30, 2026, the second quarter of TVS Motor’s 2026-27 financial year. Its board approved unaudited standalone and consolidated results subject to a limited review, according to the exchange filing.
Standalone profit after tax was Rs 1,377 crore, up from Rs 904 crore a year earlier. Revenue from operations reached Rs 17,103 crore, compared with Rs 11,905 crore. EBITDA was Rs 2,219 crore, up from Rs 1,507 crore, while the EBITDA margin increased to 13.0% from 12.7% in the same period last year.
Electric two-wheeler sales totaled 186,186 units, against 80,009 a year earlier, an increase of 133%. Three-wheeler sales reached 78,475, up from 53,449. International sales across two- and three-wheelers grew 35% to 0.5 million from 0.4 million.
CNBC-TV18’s poll had projected revenue of Rs 16,790 crore, profit of Rs 1,370 crore and EBITDA of Rs 2,200 crore. TVS Motor’s reported figures exceeded each of those projections, while its 13.0% margin was below the poll’s 13.2% estimate. NDTV Profit’s pre-results roundup put broker margin estimates between 12.8% and 13.3%, a range that includes the reported result. The comparison therefore differs by measure: the poll’s financial totals were below the reported figures, but its margin forecast was higher than the outcome.
