Tata Steel shares were down 0.9% at 12:19 a.m. ET on Oct. 30 after touching ₹167.25, before a Nov. 7 board meeting to consider results for the quarter and half-year.

At 12:19 a.m. ET (04:19 UTC), Upstox quoted the shares at ₹167.94, down 0.90% from the Oct. 29 close of ₹169.46. It listed the session range as ₹167.25 to ₹168.69.

The Economic Times liveblog reported at 12:07 a.m. ET (04:07 UTC) that the stock was below its ₹170.75 second-support level and characterized the move as a downward breakout.

The liveblog listed ₹169.27 as the previous close. Upstox history shows that was the Oct. 28 close and lists ₹169.46 for Oct. 29.

In a provisional update released Oct. 7, Tata Steel reported India crude-steel production of 6.21 million tons in the second quarter of fiscal 2027, up 10% from a year earlier. Deliveries were 5.97 million tons, up 7%. The company attributed higher output mainly to increased production at Jamshedpur and Kalinganagar, and said product mix and steady demand across market segments supported deliveries despite seasonal rains.

Tata Steel moved its board meeting from Oct. 27 to Nov. 7. Directors will consider results for the quarter and half-year ended Sept. 30, 2026. The company cited “unavoidable circumstances” for the postponement.
