‘Teen Wolf’ season 6’s episode 2, entitled “Superposition”, will follow Scott, Lydia, and Malia as they attempt to remember taken friend Stiles. Meanwhile, executive producer Jeff Davis addressed who remembers Stiles first as well as a surprise callback.
The brief synopsis for “Superposition” posted on Spoilers Guide reads, “While Scott (Tyler Posey), Lydia (Holland Roden) and Malia (Shelley Hennig) search for lost memories of a missing friend, Corey (Michael Johnston) discovers a connection between his abilities and the Wild Hunt.”
The incoming episode will follow Scott, Lydia, and Malia as they attempt to recover memories of Stiles (Dylan O’Brien), who has been taken by the Ghost Riders. In the season 6 premiere, entitled “Memory Lost”, Stiles was basically erased from existence and his disappearance began to have great effects on the series’ characters.
According to the recap by Entertainment Weekly, Scott catches his first glimpse of the Ghost Riders by getting into Alex’s head to find out about what happened to his parents. Scott and Stiles eventually head to Alex’s house to investigate and find it rather abandoned except for Alex’s room, which looks lived in. A Ghost Rider then attacks Stiles in the room after Scott leaves.
In school, Stiles and Lydia figure out that the Ghost Riders come with the Wild Hunt and take people. This realization prompted Stiles to tell Scott and the two head to the police station to find that Alex had already been erased. They assume that Liam and Hayden may be next so they race to school.
However, it is revealed that Stiles is the next victim as people begin forgetting that he ever existed. Stiles then asks Lydia to find a way to remember him and tells her that he loves her before he is taken.
During an interview with Hollywood Life, executive producer Jeff Davis revealed that Stiles’ disappearance will affect the other characters profoundly, specifically his love interest Lydia. He teased, This is very much a season about the disappearance and the loss of Stiles. So, we like to hold things off. “I’ll tease that we’ve come back around to really understanding that this is a great relationship in Teen Wolf, and we want to mine it for as much drama and tension as possible. You’ll definitely see a lot of Stiles and Lydia drama.”
When asked if Lydia will be the first to remember Stiles, he said, “Well, I’ll tell you something happens at the end of the second episode that is a callback to the first season of Teen Wolf. It’s a fun callback, so there’s a little surprise in there for fans who have seen all the season?”
‘Teen Wolf’ season 6’s episode 2, entitled “Superposition”, is scheduled to air on MTV on November 22, 2016. It is followed by episode 3, entitled "Sundowning", scheduled for November 29.
