The Telegram mini-app "Catizen" has gained 34 million users in just six months, with 800,000 paying users generating an average of $33 each. The tap-to-earn game has become the platform's highest revenue-generating app.

800K Paying Users Generate $33 Per User

On September 7th, the tap-to-earn and play-to-airdrop gaming platform “Catizen,” a Telegram mini-app, reported that it had 34 million users in its first half-year.

With 800,000 paying users and an average revenue of $33 per paying user, “Catizen” also asserted in a post on the X social media platform that it was the highest-generating app on Telegram.

Investment from TON's Open Platform

The Open Platform, the biggest developer's group on the TON network, recently made an undisclosed investment in Citizen publisher PLUTO Studio, according to a press statement shared with Cointelegraph.

In early 2024, Pluto's inaugural venture into publishing, “Catizen,” was published. Hashkey and Binance Labs have since added their support as well.

HashKey Offers Technical and Regulatory Support

This is what the blog post says: “HashKey will provide regulatory guidance and advice, as well as technical support for blockchain infrastructure operations, to “Catizen” and other products under its umbrella.”

“Catizen” becomes HashKey's first Web3 partner, and the agreement signifies the company's entrance into the TON ecosystem.

The managing director of HashKey Global, Ben El-Baz, spoke exclusively to Cointelegraph and said that the fast growth in the TON blockchain's development community was due in large part to HashKey's involvement. El-Baz says this means "the arrival of a thriving and prosperous period for the ecosystem."

900 Million Users Give TON a Boost

According to El-Baz, who spoke with Cointelegraph, TON's 900 million users gave the network an advantage over other platforms, including “Catizen.”

El-Baz believes that:

“With this user pool, it solves one of the biggest issues that all Web3 builders face and find so hard to overcome: user acquisition.”
