“The 100” season 6 was the result of the high viewership ratings of the previous seasons. Likewise, Mark Pedowitz, CW TV Network’s president did not think twice about renewing the sci-fi drama because aside from its huge steady followers, the series has been getting positive feedback from fans and critics as well.
What’s more, as proof that “The 100” series has been doing well throughout its airing time, the seventh installment was also confirmed already. Pedowitz said that the decision is really up to the drama’s showrunner, Jason Rothenberg, but as far as he knows, he has plans for more episodes after “The 100” season 6 so this implies that more are being prepared for future broadcast.
What to Expect?
Jason Rothenberg revealed that “The 100” season 6 will return with a new backdrop. He calls it the “New World” and shared photos of this place via social media. Judging by the photo, it seems that the survivors were able to land on a really nice place, far from the disordered Earth that they escaped from during the war.

Storyline
As per TV Line, a 125-year jump will take place in “The 100” season 6. There will be flashbacks since too much time had passed since the group escaped from the Earth.
While each of the characters will have their own moments in “The 100” season 6, the Blake siblings – Bellamy (Bob Morley) and Octavia (Marie Avgeropoulos) – will be put on spotlight due to their conflict. They are at odds and they will still be despite landing safely together in a new planet.
"That's a big rift, for sure, and it will take some work to get back to a place where the Blakes are tight," the showrunner relayed to TV Guide. "We'll put them through that wringer and we'll get them there eventually, but it's going to take a while. That's not something that you get over too quickly.”
Meanwhile, “The 100” season 6 will be back on CW Network for regular broadcast starting April 19.
