“The 100” season 6 will make it to the small screen, as confirmed by The CW president Mark Pedowitz a few months back. The renewal was not surprising since the series gained positive feedback from fans and viewership ratings were very good as well.
The good news is that after “The 100” season 6, a sequel is highly likely and this means a seventh season. Pedowitz revealed that what he knows is that the sci-fi drama’s executive producer, Jason Rothenberg, has plans for more installments after the fifth so fans can look forward to more stories.
At any rate, filming has begun already and Rothenberg even shared behind-the-scenes photos to let fans know what they are up to. It also gave the fans glimpses of what they are about to see when “The 100” season 6 premieres. Check out some of the photos below.

Rothenberg further shared that their new set for “The 100” season 6 is the “most insane set we’ve ever built," adding that it is "big, illogical in a good way and just lovely." His description and the BTS photos suggest that the survivors landed in a really nice place after escaping from the chaotic Earth.
Storyline
TV Line reported that there will be time-traveling, time jumps and flashbacks in “The 100” season 6. The series will show a 125-year time jump so it will surely be different from the previous seasons. Jason Rothenberg said that after the fifth season’s finale, the sequel will be a whole new adventure.
“We do keep reinventing the show every year — every year is a new adventure, a new set of bad guys, a new set of goals for our heroes,” Express quoted the EP as saying. “So as long as we are blessed enough to make it — I think the twist at the end of this season is bigger than anything we have done in the past, let us put it that way. It could set us up for a long run.”
He added, “I think the twist at the end of this season is bigger than anything we’ve done in the past and it could set us up for a long run.” “The 100” season 6 has no definite air date yet but according to predictions, it will be here by May or June 2019.
