If you’re betting on slots and table games online, there is a fair bet that you’d want to win an epic sum of money. Ignore naysayers telling people that it can’t be done, or that casinos are rigged. It very much can be done and has been done multiple times. To give you an inkling of just how profitable the online casino world can be, we’ve decided to look at some of the biggest ever jackpot prizes won on online slots.
Microgaming’s Mega Moolah Claims the Top Two Spots
We’ll start at the very top and with two games that are going to have tricky to beat jackpots. Both jackpot wins come from Microgaming slots. In fact, both come from the same slot. Currently, the record for the biggest ever progressive jackpot cash prize paid out goes to one anonymous player in Belgium. They scooped €19.4 million on April 27, 2021, playing Microgaming’s Mega Moolah slot.
The second-place prize isn’t far behind that. On September 28, 2018, another anonymous player pocketed €18.9m playing the same game. In both cases, it was the Mega Jackpot prize that was won.
Microgaming’s WowPot Take the Final Podium Place
Microgaming’s progressive jackpot slots are certainly notable. In fact, one occupies the third spot on our list, too. This time, it was one of their WowPot jackpot slots that coughed up a life-changing sum of money. The lucky player came from Britain, and unlike the previous two winners, he gave his name as Mr M. The April 14, 2021, win was valued at £15.1 million.
This Is Where NetEnt Comes In
NetEnt breaks into our list at fourth. The famous Scandinavian casino software provider and the Mega Fortune slot used to jostle with Microgaming’s Mega Moolah for the top spot on a regular basis. In recent years, the wins have dipped just a touch. However, the record payout occurred on January 20, 2013, when an anonymous Finnish player bagged a record €17,860,868.
Jackpot Giant Gets in the Mix
Unsurprisingly, Mega Moolah dominates the rest of all one spot in the top ten. The spot they missed out on was tenth itself when an €11.7m win was recorded on Mega Fortune by an anonymous player in Norway on September 23, 2011. We must look to the twelfth highest ever win to find a new game on our list. This time, Playtech’s Jackpot Giant comes in at €10.7m, with the win occurring on October 20, 2018. The only other new game to make the top twenty-five list is NetEnt’s Arabian Nights. That paid out €8.6m to another anonymous Finn back on November 23, 2012.
Win A Progressive Jackpot Yourself
If you haven’t had a crack at top jackpot slots yet, we strongly suggest you do so. During any given month, there is over €20 million. Sometimes, this rises to €50 million or power. Remember, each casino will share jackpots with other sites, and each game may have jackpots that are triggered in a different way from the rest. Can you get a share of the spoils for yourself, though? If lady luck is with you – unquestionably so.
