‘The Blacklist’ season 4’s episode 21 and episode 22 will comprise the two-part finale and will follow Red as he attempts to save his empire as well as the task force from destruction. Meanwhile, Mr. Kaplan is set to execute the final phase of her plan to bring Red down.
The synopsis for both episodes posted on TV Guide reveal that Red (James Spader) will finally go head to head with Mr. Kaplan (guest star Susan Blommaert), who is set to execute her final plan in bringing down his criminal organization.
The synopsis for episode 21, titled “Mr. Kaplan,” reads, “In Part 1 of the two-part Season 4 finale, Red faces a siege on his criminal organization as he tracks a high-end thief who's enlisted by Mr. Kaplan for a shady assignment. Also, Aram (Amir Arison) faces a difficult choice when the task force's conduct is probed.”
Episode 22, titled “Mr. Kaplan: Conclusion,” reads “In the conclusion of the two-part Season 4 finale, Red spins into motion a risky plan to save the task force and himself. Also: Mr. Kaplan launches the final phase of an assault on Red's empire; and Liz (Megan Boone) faces the biggest questions about her past.”
The two-part finale for the American crime-drama television series that airs on NBC will culminate in a final showdown between Red and the antagonists plotting to bring his empire down. Mr. Kaplan remains to be the primary threat to his organization and Red must always be two steps ahead of his cunning enemy.
In part one, Red will manage to track down a high-end thief hired by Mr. Kaplan for a mystery assignment. Meanwhile, Aram will be forced to make a difficult decision when Agent Gale utilizes extreme measures in investigating the Task Force’s conduct.
Promotional photographs posted on TV Fanatic shows Red and Mr. Kaplan coming to face to face in what seems to be an empty theater. The two look somber as they meet once more.
Part two will follow Red as he executes a risky plan in order to save his empire as well as the Task Force while Mr. Kaplan launches the final phase of her plan to destroy Red and his criminal organization. Meanwhile, Liz will confront questions about her past with the Task Force’s future in danger.
‘The Blacklist’ season 4’s two-part finale is set to premiere on NBC on May 18, 2017. The crime-drama television series was created by John Bokenkamp and first premiered on the network on September 2013. Season 4 first aired on September 2016.
