‘The Blacklist’ season 6 has been confirmed and NBC Network is releasing it next year. The crime thriller was renewed for another 22 episodes and this was revealed in May.
Plot, What to Expect
“The Blacklist” season 6 will surely make an exciting comeback as season 5 ended with mysteries to solve. The finale showed how Elizabeth Keen (Megan Boone) found a bag with human bones and the shocking thing is that tests revealed they belonged to Raymond Reddington.
Everyone was confused but the findings seemed to suggest that Raymond “Red” Reddington (James Spader) is actually an impostor. Still, there is the question if he is indeed a fraudster who deceived them all.
The fake Red’s identity in “The Blacklist” has been a big secret that has hovered since season 1 but this was never really confirmed in any of the past seasons. Then again, executive producer Jon Bokenkamp already admitted once that James Spader knew from the start that his character is a fake.
“The Blacklist” season 6 is expected to unravel more details and perhaps, Elizabeth will be able to unveil the truth about Raymond Reddington.
Filming
“The Blacklist” season 6 already started filming late last year but the production team and cast do not share much about how far they have already gone in their production. But for once, Megan Boone decided to tease their fans a bit by updating her own Instagram account with a photo of the shoot.
The image shows the cast and crew working at a location that seems to be a park or a street. She captioned it with “Let’s play “Where are Megan & Diego?” If you hit Tag you’ve lost all ambition.”
Cast
“The Blacklist” season 6 will surely be back with its main stars, who include James Spader, Megan Boone, Diego Klattenhoff (Donald Ressler), Ryan Eggold (Tom Keen), Harry Lennix (Harold Cooper), Hisham Tawfiq (Dembe) and Susan Blommaert (Mr. Kaplan) and Amir Arison (Aram Mojtabai), among others.
Air Date
“The Blacklist” season 6 is getting a new year release, according to CarterMatt. While everyone is waiting for the sixth installment, they can binge-watch the fifth season first. It will be added to Netflix U.S. on Sept. 12.
