One of the most followed mystery docu-series on History Channel is “The Curse of Oak Island” and it is returning soo for its eighth season. The coronavirus pandemic may have delayed the production of the upcoming installment, but it was revealed the team has been filming since June.
This update was provided by the local residents of Oak Island since they can easily see who is coming in and coming out from their small community. There is also no way of concealing big trucks and equipment, so they are the first ones to know about the happenings and filming.
This is big news for the avid viewers who can’t wait for “The Curse of Oak Island” season 8 as the previous installment brought out many interesting and major finds. In any case, as mentioned, the works are already going on the island. The residents have shared many updates.
Updates on the island - All the on-going works
In early October, it was said that huge machines and trucks have arrived; these were carrying equipment. It was also shared that the road to the swamp is being widened, and many suggested that this was done since bigger and heavier trucks could damage the pavement.
The works in the swamp are in full blast and the residents stated the size of the crew this year is the biggest to come to the island so far. Excavator is at work while drilling in the Money Pit is also on-going.
The busiest area in “The Curse of Oak Island” season 8 is the swamp and some say that the team could be focusing on this first because they can only work on that part during the fall. It was suggested that environmental regulations only allow them to explore the swamp in this period so they are working on it before transferring to another area.
The cofferdam and the swamp
A truck carrying cofferdam was also seen and many are convinced this is for the swamp as well. They are saying that the team may need to drain some parts as they may be finally checking out the ship-shaped anomaly that was found at the bottom of the swamp.
This could be true because on Oct. 28, two pontoon boats were also seen and the drone is covering the vicinity too. The boats were anchored and perhaps, they are looking at the swamp’s bed. At any rate, “The Curse of Oak Island” season 8 will return to History on Nov. 10 at 9 p.m.
