‘The Flash’ season 3’s episode 22, titled “Infantino Street,” is set to follow Barry as he enlists Captain Cold’s help in defeating Savitar as the threat of Iris’ death looms ahead.
The synopsis for “Infantino Street” posted on TV Guide reads, “With only 24 hours left until Savitar murders Iris (Candice Patton), Barry (Grant Gustin) struggles to save the woman he loves and makes the choice to use any means necessary to do so. Realizing he has one option left to save her, the Flash turns to Captain Cold (guest star Wentworth Miller) for help.”
With only two episodes left for the series’ third season, it seems that Team Flash must race against time to find a way to defeat Savitar once and for all before he succeeds in killing off Iris. Barry will be left with no choice but to enlist Captain Cold’s help in vanquishing the enemy before it’s too late.
In the previous episode, titled "Cause and Effect," Savitar revealed that he was a time remnant of Barry and needs to murder Iris to enable Barry to create him in the future. Scientists Tracy Brand also successfully completed the construction of the Speed Force Bazooka that would theoretically trap Savitar in the Speed Force. Unfortunately, the device would need a powerful energy source in order to work.
Team Flash would need to get their hands on a government project with alien technology that may power up the Speed Force Bazooka, which is protected by King Shark. It seems that the only character to pull off such a difficult feat would be Captain Cold.
Promotional photographs for episode 22 posted on TV Fanatic shows Barry reaching out to Captain Cold for some kind of alliance. It seems that Captain Cold may have agreed to the deal since Barry managed to bring him back to Team Flash. However, it seems that not all members of the team are happy to know about the new development between Barry and Captain Cold.
‘The Flash’ season 3’s episode 22, titled “Infantino Street,” is scheduled to air on The CW on May 16, 2017. It was directed by Michael Allowitz with a story by Andrew Kreisberg and teleplay by Grainne Godfree. It will be followed by episode 23, titled "Finish Line," directed by David McWhirter and scheduled to be released on May 23.
