The title of “The Good Doctor” season 2 episode 12, “Aftermath,” fits best to describe the imminent dilemma for the San Jose St. Bonaventure Hospital resident doctors. Some of them, including, Dr. Shaun Murphy (Freddie Highmore), might lose their medical license.
The might have averted the further spread of a fatal viral disease but the medical staff of San Jose St. Bonaventure Hospital has yet to face the wrath of a Department of Public Health assessment. And the promo video for “The Good Doctor” season 2 episode 12 indicates it will not look good for Dr. Murphy, Dr. Neil Melendez (Nicholas Gonzalez), and Dr. Audrey Lim (Christina Chang).
Public health officials will pay a visit to the hospital specifically to assess how the resident staff performed during the quarantine. Amid all the chaos during the two-part “Quarantine” episode, how the three doctors performed seemingly stood out for the inspector in “The Good Doctor” season 2 episode 12.
She mentions having “findings” on Dr. Lim’s and Dr. Melendez’s conducts during the outbreak. Meanwhile, the health official also zeroes in on a security footage where Dr. Murphy is seen lying in a fetal position while the chaos erupted around him. By the end of the “The Good Doctor” season 2 episode 12 promo video, the inspector clearly recommended the suspension of their licenses.
Meanwhile, “The Good Doctor” season 2 episode 12 will not be all dull and lonely. The official synopsis also mentions that Dr. Murphy and Dr. Aaron Glassman (Richard Schiff) will “try to relax” leading to a visit at Lea’s (Paige Spara) workplace.
Teaser photos show Shaun, Aaron, and Lea are all going for some go-kart session and go out for lunch. This could be a chance for Shaun to temporarily forget that he might lose his license for good and let Aaron stir clear from the stress after finding out he has meningitis. “The Good Doctor” season 2 episode 12 will air on Monday, Jan. 21, at 10 p.m. ET on ABC.
