“The Good Doctor” season 2 episode 4 will pick up from Oct. 8’s episode It was a race against time as the team of doctors in San Jose St. Bonaventure Hospital had to make major life decisions for their patients and they had to do it fast.
With this scenario, it means that the episode is all about trust since people are relying on their doctors for the success of their treatments. The outcome of each decision will also have a lasting effect on the lives of the patients and their future.
Dr. Shaun Murphy (Freddie Highmore) and Dr. Morgan Reznick (Fiona Gubelmann) were placed in charge of the emergency room when Dr. Audrey Lim (Christina Chang) had to leave as she deals with some personal issues. Although they were given a difficult task and there were commotions in the ER, both Dr. Murphy and Dr. Reznick still managed to do a great job.
“The Good Doctor” season 2 episode 4 is titled “Tough Titmouse” and as per TV Guide, its synopsis reads: “Shaun recalls his own past to help an intellectually disabled teenager face separation from his mother; Claire is put between an injured teenage rock climber and her worried parents. Meanwhile, Glassman's post-op hallucinations force him to confront a personal tragedy.”
“The Good Doctor” season 2 episode 4 features Holly Taylor as a guest and she plays Dr. Aaron Glassman’s (Richard Schiff) daughter. Her stint is short but her appearance makes a big difference in the story as the plot tries to show Dr. Glassman having hallucinations after his brain surgery.
Her daughter is dead but after his operation, he sees her appear before him and he becomes emotional. It turns out he is hallucinating. Despite this effect of post-op, Dr. Murphy tells Dr. Glassman that his operation is successful. All he needs to do now is take a rest and undergo chemotherapy and radiation.
In another ER case in “The Good Doctor” season 2 episode 4, a married couple is faced with a difficult decision to make. They want to have a child but a procedure may put the wife’s life in jeopardy. Since they badly want to start a family, they decide to take the risk.
“The Good Doctor” season 2 episode 4 will air on Oct. 15 at 10:00 p.m. on ABC. Viewers can also watch it online via ABC Go.
