It appears that not all well-supported anime shows are immediately confirmed for a second installment. It has been five years since the first season of “The Irregular At Magic High School” was released and received well by fans. But, to this day, all fans can read about “The Irregular At Magic High School” season 2 are speculations about its premiere.
‘The Irregular At Magic High School’ season 2 renewed or canceled: Release date in 2019 not possible
There is an obvious demand for the release of “The Irregular At Magic High School” season 2. Additionally, the light novel series has more than enough materials to permit the continuation of the anime. But it appears to be not enough to convince producers to order the anime’s return on air.
There were speculations that “The Irregular At Magic High School” season 2 would premiere this year. But it is already the fall season without any teaser or announcement made. That means fans might as well stop hoping for the Shiba siblings to return to the small screen in 2019.
The first season of the anime series premiered in 2014 and had a total of 26 episodes. Technically, it ended in the light novel volume 9 or the first part of the Visitor arc. It was an awkward way to end the series because arc had a second and third part in the light novel. To remedy that, the movie “The Irregular At Magic High School: The Girl Who Calls the Stars” was released in 2017 covering volumes 10 through 11.5. The animated film, however, included a post-credits scene that was actually taken from the first scenes in volume 12 increasing hopes that “The Irregular At Magic High School” season 2 is in the pipeline somehow.

While fans still wait for the announcement of “The Irregular At Magic High School” season 2, they can catch up with the main series by reading the light novel series. They can start with the volume titled “Double Seven” where the character of Takumi Shippou will take a more important role as the main antagonist.
Upon introducing Takumi, it is established that he hates the Saegusa twins, Kasumi and Izumi. This hatred fuels his evil plots throughout “The Irregular At Magic High School” season 2. However, Takumi’s plans are doomed as Tatsuya sees through his motives.
