It will take a few more months before “The Irregular at Magic High School” season 2 premieres. Luckily, there are several ways fans can spend their time in a way that they can also prepare for the next adventures of Tatsuya Shiba and the other First High students.
‘The Irregular at Magic High School’ season 2 delay: Watch anime reruns
The production of “The Irregular at Magic High School” season 2 had to be postponed due to coronavirus. This meant that the new episodes will air in October, instead of the original plan of a summertime premiere in July. This is still a better scenario considering fans had to wait for more than five years for the anime series to be renewed.
When “The Irregular at Magic High School” season 2 was announced, the producers also confirmed there season 1 will be rebroadcast in Japan. Fans in the United States and Canada have had the same privilege of watching reruns as Funimation confirmed it is streaming all English-subbed 26 episodes starting last April 20.
The 2017 anime film “The Irregular at Magic High School: The Girl Who Summons the Stars” has also started streaming on Funimation last Friday. The movie will be available on the platform for two weeks. Fans in other parts of the world can also watch it through Netflix. Note that it features an original story, including a non-canon introduction of Angelina Kudou Shields, or known simply as Lina.
‘The Irregular at Magic High School’ season 2 spoilers: Read the Visitor Arc in advance
If anime-only fans get curious about Lina after watching the movie, they can step up their preparations for “The Irregular at Magic High School” season 2 by reading the Visitor Arc from the light novels. The next episodes will revolve around this storyline, where Lina first arrives in Japan to attend First High as an exchange student.
Lina and the people that sent her have ulterior motives that directly affect Tatsuya. This is going to be central to the entire plot of “The Irregular at Magic High School” season 2. Fans who have seen season 1 and would want to read Visitor Arc in advance should also note that the second season would skip the Recollection Arc.
