‘The Promised Neverland’ Chapter 99 Release Date, New Characters: Who Is the New Ally Who Helped the Children?

Recent chapters of the “The Promised Neverland” seem to indicate that the next one isn’t going to have a lot of fight scenes. Rather, the story will most likely be centered on plot development and what the new villain is up to in “The Promised Neverland” Chapter 99.

In the last chapter, we saw Andrew introduced to the series. He is going to be the next antagonist to the children going forward, OtakuArt reported. But the manga also brought in an ally for our band of misfits. This new protagonist has yet to be properly introduced to readers but it’s safe to say that more of his background will be revealed when “The Promised Neverland” Chapter 99 gets released.

Both these new characters are exhibiting high degrees of intelligence, showing tracking and deduction skills that they implement to hunt or protect the children. For now, this unknown ally has the upper hand, as we saw in the previous chapter how he successfully led Andrew to a false shelter. Of course, he can’t keep this up for long and fans will have to wait and see in “The Promised Neverland” Chapter 99 the battle of wits that these two will engage in.

On top of the demons, humans are going to be another headache for the children as some of them are working for Rotary. Led by Andrew, Rotary’s men are slowly catching up to the whereabouts of the manga’s beloved protagonists. “The Promised Neverland” Chapter 99 will pick up where the manga ended in the last chapter, which was when this unknown ally made contact with the children using the Morse code.

Eerily enough, the last panel of chapter 98 had the new protagonist saying, “Make sure you survive until then, young boys and girls.” So who is this character and where did he come from? “The Promised Neverland” Chapter 99 will shed more light on this new ally and what his role is going to be in the chapter to come, which is going to be released on Aug. 20.
