‘The Promised Neverland’ chapter 166 spoilers: Emma, Ray and Norman exchange fire with Isabella’s forces

“The Promised Neverland” chapter 166 will definitely an action-packed installment of the manga series. It will feature Emma, Ray and Norman try to rescue the children from being harvested as food for the demons.

Peter Ratri gives the order to kill the children

Previously, it appeared that the fate of the children was already sealed. Peter Ratri ordered the seemingly motherly Isabella that all of them should be already in jars by the day after tomorrow.

She then went to where the children were. This time, Isabella did not bother to pretend she cared for them. When one of the children asked her to treat Nat’s broken finger, she simply broke the rest of his fingers.

“We’re going to start disposing all of you in order,” Isabella announced. That was the time the children realize that they’re going to die.

But unexpectedly, the door opened as Emma, Ray and Norman can be seen entering the place. What’s interesting is that all three are fully armed – it’s obvious that they’re not visiting to explain pleasantries with Isabella but to rescue their siblings, in “The Promised Neverland” chapter 166.

Isabella’s ultimate goal

However, the previous “The Promised Neverland” chapter also revealed what happened to Isabella after Emma and the rest escaped Green Field. As she was preparing herself to be executed, she was instead promoted to grandma.

The higher-ups actually wanted to pin the blame on Sarah for the incident because the management saw Isabella’s talent in rearing children. In addition, the head of the Ratri clan, Peter Ratri, wants to hire Isabella for their experiment of a new style of producing meat for the demons.

The new production method is called Lambda, which could put Isabella’s talent to good use. Thus, Isabella worked for Peter on his Lambda project and was promise her freedom away from the demon-controlled world should the project prove successful.

Killing the children would have been Isabella’s final task from Peter and she would then have the freedom she desired. Considering her motivation, it’s easy to see that Isabella won’t just yield to the three children just because the barged into Grace Field fully armed.

A fight will likely happen in “The Promised Neverland” chapter 166 as Isabella instructs the demons under her to fight with the three kids. It might even come to the point where she might use one of the captive children as a hostage to force Emma and her team to give up on their rescue mission.
