Just as the children despaired with the appearance of an armed Isabella and the rest of Grace Field House staff, it turned out that they have decided to rebel against the Ratri Clan as well.

A few days before Emma and the team infiltrated the farm, Isabella met with the rest of the human staff of the facility. She told them that she planned to betray the farm and help the escapees.

She then told them Grandma Sarah’s story. No matter how loyal she was, Grandma Sarah was punished just the same which made Isabella realize that the human staff in the farm is just livestock in the eyes of the Ratri Clan.

Isabella realized that their obedience has no future. The clan used freedom as bait but she did not really believe they’ll keep their end of the bargain in the end. Thus, she accepted Peter of becoming Grandma because she might be able to help the escapees one day if she held that position.

Isabelle was able to win the human staff over. Peter Ratri was startled when they trained all of their guns on him and not to the kids.

Peter angrily accused Isabella of betraying him. “Yes, isn’t it obvious?” she replied. “These children and I and the staff are your enemies.”

Even the children were surprised when they heard Isabella’s explanation. “I was getting fed up with my life here and I didn’t like the future that boy described that’s why I wanted to crush everything.”

Realizing that he was surrounded by enemies, Peter Ratri made a bold move by grabbing a gun from one of the members of the staff. He then fired indiscriminately to create confusion and promptly made his escape in the ensuing chaos.

Isabella and the rest can’t afford to let Peter Ratri escape so some of them might be dispatched to look for him. After all, they might still have some use for the head of the Ratri clan should they choose to negotiate.

Meanwhile, “The Promised Neverland” chapter 171 might also reveal what Emma’s plans are. They seem to have thought things through so they must have thought of a way out of the situation. It’s also possible that they’ll make some adjustments taking into consideration the inclusion of Isabella and the staff.
