‘The Promised Neverland’ chapter 175 introduced a couple of world-shaking changes into the lives of both demons and humans alike. After almost being executed, Mujika has been crowned the new Queen, the government dismantled and all farms that raised children as food for the demons are being abolished.
‘The Promised Neverland’ chapter 175, which is already available on MangaPlus, starts with Leuvis addressing a crowd at the Capital. Apparently, he was successful in overthrowing those in power, setting himself up as the new leader in the eyes of the demon population.
“The current administration has been dismantled,” Leuvis told the crowd. “The leaders, the vassal army of the Five Regent Houses, and those managing the four great farms shall be arrested immediately.”
He also promised to distribute the ‘evil blood’ to every citizen so that demons would no longer degenerate if they can’t eat human flesh. But was surprised the crowd was his announcement that he will abolish all farms.
The demon crowd initially complained. However, Leuvis explained that in the original agreement made 1,000 years ago stated that “we’ll segregate our worlds and we won’t hunt each other.” It was because of the existence of farms and the human meat supply that the previous administration was able to manipulate the populace to their will.
Leuvis eventually managed to convince everyone that abolishing the farms is the right thing to do. “Long live, King Leuvis,” the demon citizens began to chant.
However, Leuvis response took everyone by surprise. “No, I’m not going to become king,” he calmly said. He explained that he is partly guilty of what the previous administration did as he previously turned a blind eye to what they did.
Leuvis explained that he isn’t worthy of becoming the next monarch but suggested that the new world needs a new monarch. “I believe Mujika here is fit to be that monarch,” he suggested.
The demons were surprised. Even Mujika can only stare in disbelief at the unexpected turn of events. However, she was eventually convinced by her fellow demons to accept the position and she was crowned the new Queen.
Back at the Grace Field House, the children rejoiced upon hearing the announcements on Mujika’s coronation and the decision to abolish the farms. They can hardly believe the decree that “all children raised as food will be free.”
“The Promised Neverland” chapter 176 will likely see the human return back to the human world. Unfortunately, it seems that the manga is currently on hiatus as it would be some time before the next installment arrives. The next chapter will be released to MangaPlus on May 10, 2020.
