‘The Royals’ season 3’s episode 3, titled "Aye, There's the Rub," will follow Helena as she finally receives the results of the paternity test that would reveal Liam and Eleanor’s father. Meanwhile, Liam and Eleanor’s respective relationships are bound to heat up and get more scandalous.
The synopsis posted on TV Guide reads, “Helena (Elizabeth Hurley) binges on reality TV while recovering from an illness. Elsewhere, Liam (William Moseley) and Eleanor (Alexandra Park) find themselves deeply involved in passionate relationships; at the same time, they learn exactly who is their daddy.”
In episode 2, titled "Passing Through Nature to Eternity," Helena was adamant about beating King Cyrus (Jake Maskall) at his own power play. According to a recap on Hollywood Life, Cyrus went public about his cancer and badmouthed the Royal family in attempts to gain the public’s sympathy while he fights to stay on the throne.
Helena, on the other hand, continued push for some evidence that Liam is the real heir to the throne following King Simon’s (Vincent Regan) demise. She then tasked James Hill (Rocky Marshall) to lure Cyrus out of hiding from his room so she could take a sample his DNA. It seems that the results of the paternity test will finally be revealed in the incoming episode.
Meanwhile, the royal children continue to be entangled in their romantic relationships. It was revealed that the woman Liam was seeing was actually the same person Robert (Max Brown) was dating before he went missing. The twist promises a scandalous love triangle should Robert make it back to England after being stranded on a deserted island.
His sister, Eleanor, is also dealing with her own drama with Jasper. After successfully getting Jasper jealous in the preceding episode, it seems that she may finally get him to be exclusive with her. However, a relationship between a princess and her bodyguard is bound to cause some controversy, especially under public scrutiny.
‘The Royals’ season 3’s episode 3, entitled "Aye, There's the Rub," is scheduled to air on E! on December 18, 2016. The episode was written by Mark Schwahn.
