Sixolile Mpahlwa is the CEO of Prince Entertainment. His career with casinos started in 2013 with Sun International, where he was a Guest Relations Officer. After one year, he was promoted to PR, Promotions and Marketing Coordinator. His portfolio was extended to PR, Promotions, Marketing and Entertainment. But Sixolile wanted more.
He joined Tsogo Sun casinos in Cape Town and focused on the same portfolio. However, his biggest focus was on social media marketing, the reason being that the company wanted to grow more in that area. They also felt that Sixolile was the correct person to improve the social media presence for Tsogo Sun.
Social media proved to be a good way to improve awareness, especially for events and other, and soon, the company started to perform well with its social media activities. However, Sixolile wanted greater challenge and started his own company, Prince Entertainment in 2017.
Prince Entertainment
The main reason Sixolile launched Prince Entertainment was because he used to work for two casino companies in South Africa. He could see the gap between supplying casinos with entertainment services and social media.
Prince Entertainment is assisting the casino and online casino with social media services in collaboration with HOS Media. They have access to 1200 social media influencers that have between 5 to 28 million impressions per month. They have also worked with a number of partners in other sectors, including TV shows in South Africa.
Prince Entertainment also has its own signature event, the SummerMadness, which every year the event helps a number of musical artists and they perform in different casino properties across the country.
Promoting the Musical Arts
Prince Entertainment also has in its book a number of performing artists in South Africa and the USA. They have worked with artists in the United States with recently one of them signing a major deal. Right now, Prince Entertainment is focused on LaTina Webb. Even after she had a long tour with R&B sensation Maxwell, she keeps being busy in the studio. Meanwhile, in South Africa, Prince Entertainment is working with award winning R&B artist TeePee.
The main plan of the company is to grow on the entertainment side and to be able to have artists to perform well in casinos and vice versa. Sixolile’s goal is to have his artists perform regularly in key casinos around the world, like Las Vegas and beyond.
The Future
In order to run an organisation, international travel is needed. Sixolile uses the advantage of communication technologies to meet and talk with people, by using video conference calls. In his opinion, this way works very well. Meanwhile, he is also visiting key places for his company, like Atlanta and other U.S locations.
Sixolile dreams that Prince Entertainment will improve. Right now things are very busy for him, but he hopes that one step at a time the company will go up steadily. He also wishes for a fast pace, but he is also aware that isn’t okay to hurry things.
Right now the company provides social media services for casino operators and also Newsletters and SMS services. Also the company assists artists to register their music by using the Billboard chart. Perhaps in the future, there will be another company called Billboard chart Africa.
