The Weeknd has broken away from his usually reserved self of posting photos of him with his girlfriend, Bella Hadid. What’s more, the photos aren’t just the regular couple images but are filled with PDA, something that is rare for the Canadian singer, Elle reported.
The sudden change of tone on social media posting was due to Bella Hadid recently celebrating her 22nd birthday. As such, The Weeknd took to Instagram to share nine photos and one video of him with the young model.
In the past, the celebrity couple had been quite coy about their relationship status on social media, choosing to keep their romance away from the public eye. So it was to the surprise of many when The Weeknd uploaded a burst of PDA images with Bella Hadid since both literally don’t have photos of each other on their Instagram accounts before this.
Apart from Instagram stories which disappear after 24 hours, The Weeknd and Bella Hadid aren’t fond of showing off their relationship to the world. Indeed, both their Instagram accounts have been quiet all year long about their status. But this recent development confirms that they are an item once again.
It can be recalled that The Weeknd and Bella Hadid began dating in the early parts of 2015 when the pair was spotted at Coachella. A year later, the duo parted ways and the “Can’t Feel My Face” singer started seeing Selena Gomez.
However, their romance only lasted nine months before Gomez called the whole thing off, citing The Weeknd’s hectic schedule as the cause of the split. Gomez reportedly regretted her decision of giving up on the “Pray for Me” singer and was apologetic about her decision. Unfortunately, The Weeknd started seeing Bella Hadid again and rumors circulated that the ex-couple had rekindled their romance.
That rumor has now been put to rest as the recent Instagram posts confirm that The Weeknd and Bella Hadid are officially back together. As for Selena Gomez, she’s reportedly not looking to get into a relationship right now as she feels she doesn’t understand what love really is. Instead, the “Back to You” singer is focusing on her work at the moment, which includes filming her horror-comedy movie “The Dead Don’t Die.”
