A new leak has surfaced online claiming that "The Wolf Among Us 2" planned to be released in 2021. While Bigby is expected to still be the main protagonist, the new episodes are also rumored to include parts where players can assume the role of Snow White.
‘The Wolf Among Us 2’ release date set in 2021?
The post in question was made through the subreddit Gaming Leaks and Rumors where a now-deleted Reddit account shared a link to a supposed screenshot taken from an upcoming “The Wolf Among Us 2” teaser. The photo is a collage with Bigby on the right side and a title card on the left side where the texts “All Episodes” and “Winter 2021” are written.
Fans have been speculating on a possible showcase of new teasers for “The Wolf Among Us 2” before the end of the year. Many believed that when the official Twitter page of Telltale Games joked about constantly being asked about the sequel, it may have been a subtle hint at looming announcements about the game.
The same Reddit post seems to support the fan speculation claiming that there will be a new teaser trailer to be released soon. Telltale Games is also rumored to showcase a “small developer update video” for “The Wolf Among Us 2” that would run for “about a minute.” The post, however, did not indicate when this is going to be released but The Game Awards on Dec. 10 is a likely venue for this important announcement. The sequel is supposedly launching on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
‘The Wolf Among Us 2’ plot, gameplay reportedly includes 5 episodes set in New York City
It is also claimed that the plot of “The Wolf Among Us 2” takes place two years from the events of the first game. It can be recalled that an episodic adventure game features a storyline canon to the original “Fables” comic book series. Most of the scenes would still be happening in New York City, but Bigby will reportedly visit a town in Vermont to take on a case of a missing Fable.
As for the gameplay, “The Wolf Among Us 2” is expected to be released with 5 episodes with parts that will have Snow White as a playable character. Adam Harrington, Erin Yvette, Melissa Hutchison, and Dave Fennoy will reportedly reprise their roles as Bigby, Snow White, Lady Beauty, and Bluebeard, respectively. The “confirmed cast” is also rumored to include Nick Apostolides, Troy Baker, Ashley Burch, Cree Summers, and Patrick Warburton.
All these bits of information, along with the screenshots, are very detailed and it is not surprising that fans are inclined to believe the leaks. However, it is still advised to take it with a grain of salt until Telltale Games makes the official announcement.
