“This Is Us” Spoilers: Milo Ventimiglia’s Jack Character Already Dead In The Show? Will He Return For Season 2?

If you’re already reading this, the January 24 episode may now be showing. Showrunners have promised that this particular episode will be a “big, emotional one,” most especially to fans of Jack (Milo Ventimiglia).

Entertainment Weekly cited creator Dan Fogelman, who said the particular show will give light regarding Jack’s death. He said, “There’s a piece of information that comes out in this episode about his death. People have a lot of questions. Not all of them are going to be answered for quite some time, but in terms of starting to put together the peripheral puzzle pieces, one of them takes shape this week.”

Hollywood Life said that in the January 24 episode, the young Pearson kids Kevin (Justin Hartley), Kate (Chrissy Metz), and Randall (Sterling K. Brown) are to celebrate their 10th birthday. Moreover, Jack and Rebecca (Mandy Moore), are in talks of bringing in a fourth child into the brood. Moreover, the episode will also showcase a montage of Jack’s eventual funeral, which will hint to how he died.

If there’s one person who knows about the fate of his character, it would be Ventimiglia. At a press tour, he said. “I knew from the very beginning Jack was deceased. I think it fits very much into my ethos. Jack doesn't know when his end is coming although I know when Jack’s end is coming, but we don’t know when any of us are going to close out on life. I go back to Jack fundamentally he wants to be a good husband he wants to be a good father. He wants to enjoy the time he has with the family he has made.”

But the most important question is will Ventimiglia be on board for Season 2 considering his story is supposed to end soon? Romper said Ventimiglia will stay a little bit longer considering his role in Rebecca deciding to marry the former’s best friend Miguel (Jon Huertas). Moreover, Fogelman assured that they will never run out of stories, which no doubt will include Jack's.
