NBC's American Drama "This is Us" season 3 is coming in a couple of months. Meanwhile, the series is stirring talks in the Emmy Awards space through its sterling cast and riveting characters for the past two seasons.
Starring Mandy Moore and Milo Ventimiglia as Rebecca and Jack Pearson, along with Sterling K. Brown, Chrissy Metz, and Justin Harley portraying the Pearson children, “The Big Three,” the show takes the unusual format of presenting modern scenes interspersed with flashbacks to provide context for the current episode's focus of drama. Much of the show's earlier seasons focused on the Pearson children's lives and the people close to them, but season 3 looks to be taking a different direction by going further into the past.
"This is Us" season 3 has been teased to take a deeper dive into Rebecca and Jack Pearson's relationship prior to “The Big Three” entering their lives. While the show has already touched on “pre-Big Three” moments between the two, fans of the show have yet to get a better understanding of the beginnings of Rebecca and Jack's relationship.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Moore confirmed that “This is Us” season 3 will shine more light on Rebecca and Jack's relationship.
Mandy Moore also recently retweeted a photo from Roxy Olin, daughter of the show's executive producer Ken Olin, that featured what appears to be a young Rebecca and Jack Pearson together on their first date.
Up all night but that’s a wrap on episode 1 for Jack and Bec. #ThisIsUs https://t.co/6gA6cjDVgb

“This is Us” creator and executive producer Dan Fogelman shared with Variety that the third season's first episode will focus on Rebecca and Jack Pearson's first date.
“This is Us,” with its eight Primetime Emmy Nominations for 2018, is looking to be a top contender in each category that it has been nominated in. Fogelman even joked that the show has gone to a level where only the Emmy nominations matter. The excitement over the show's nominations has also been shared by the cast as well.
Mandy Moore tweeted congratulations to the cast and crew for the honor of being recognized by the prestigious American television award body.
