SOUTH WINDSOR, Conn., July 24, 2017 -- Ticket Summit, the leading conference and trade show for ticketing and live entertainment professionals, hosted its annual conference July 11-13, 2017 at The Venetian Las Vegas. Ticket Summit 2017 was presented by TicketNetwork and DTI Management.
This year’s event drew more than 750 attendees, representing companies from across the ticketing industry, including producers and promoters, sports teams and leagues, and representatives of the primary and secondary ticket markets.
The three-day event featured two keynote panels, panel sessions on a variety of topics, a new series of Workshops for Entrepreneurs, a large trade show, and countless networking opportunities. The first keynote, The Ticketing Industry, was held Wednesday, July 12 and featured a lively discussion of trends in secondary ticketing. The discussion was led by Lee Shenker of DTI Management and featured Curtis Cheng, CEO of DTI Management; Michael Katz, Head of B2B at StubHub; Larry Plawsky, SVP of Ticketmaster Resale; and Don Vaccaro, CEO of TicketNetwork.
The second keynote, Backstage Pass to the Concert Industry, was held Thursday, July 13 and was a discussion of trends in concert ticketing and areas of opportunity in the industry. Led by Curtis Cheng, the keynote featured Michele Bernstein, Partner and Head of Tour Marketing and Ticketing, WME; David Marcus, EVP, Head of Music at Ticketmaster; and Bryan Perez, CEO of AXS.
Panel sessions covered a variety of topics, such as SEO, PPC, fraud, legislative issues, and sports ticketing. Speakers included representatives of 1Ticket, AutoProcessor, Avaluanch Media, Broker Genius, Distilled, Event Tickets Center, Fan Freedom, Harlem Globetrotters, LA Dodgers, Microsoft, NCAA, NetChoice, Riskified, SeatGeek, Sift Science, Wynn Resorts, and more.
This year’s conference also included a series of Workshops for Entrepreneurs, aimed at providing small business owners with the tools they need to build their business.
