There is a lot of excitement surrounding “Titans” Season 2 as the first entry dispelled all the negativity that it previously garnered before it aired. Did it deserve that negativity? Going by all the promo leading to its release, yes.
Diving deeply, however, and the show proves itself well enough, with some even going as far as claiming it’s one of the best DC shows out there. So what is “Titans” Season 2 going to be about?
While nothing has been revealed about the second entry’s plot, the trailer of “Titans” Season 2 suggests we’re going to be seeing a lot of awesome action sequences and team-ups from several newcomers. First up is Superboy (Joshua Orpin) and Aqualad (Drew Van Acker), Heroic Hollywood reported.
Titans Season 2 will have Trigon setting his eyes on Rachel next
The former’s arrival has been heavily hinted by the first installment’s finale, along with the inclusion of Krypto, the super dog. “Titans” Season 2 will be revealing what Trigon (Seamus Dever) is planning for Rachel (Teagan Croft), and the titular super-team will be needing all the help they can get. Hence, Superboy and Aqualad’s addition.
It’s still unclear what sort of scheme Trigon is cooking up in the background, but hell on Earth is pretty much on the top of the list. How he’ll be doing that is anyone’s guess at the moment, but Rachel appears to be an essential part of the antagonist’s plan. Angela (Rachel Nichols) will be taking on a more prominent villain role in “Titans” Season 2 as she revealed her true allegiance when she helped Trigon stepped into the show’s reality.
Titans Season 2 will have Deathstroke step into the spotlight
With Grayson (Brenton Thwaites) still struggling in the hallucination of Trigon, it’s understandable that the writers want to shore up the team’s offensive threat and not just leave them solving the equation on their own. But Trigon won’t just be the big bad of “Titans” Season 2 as Deathstroke (Esai Morales) will be making his way into the series’ universe too.
Complicating matters further is Deathstroke’s children who will also make their debut in the next entry. Lastly, “Game of Thrones” star Iain Glen will be playing Bruce Wayne in “Titans” Season 2, with a high likelihood of Ms. Martian joining the fray as well.
While Ms. Martian’s addition has yet to be confirmed by the showrunners, the trailer has heavily hinted her inclusion based on the outfit the character wore, Comicbook reported. “Titans” Season 2 is slated to premiere on Sept. 26.
