“Tokyo Ghoul:re” season 2 may not be in the best place right now if any fans on r/Anime and r/TokyoGhoul are to be believed. The show's subreddit is nearly unanimous in its confusion about the plot of the show. It seems that fans are now looking towards “Tokyo Ghoul:re” season 2 episode 2 to pick up the slack that the show's season premiere episode has brought to the fanbase.
OtakuKart confirms that “Tokyo Ghoul: re” season 2 episode 2 will focus on the Cochlea raid. According to the publication, Haise will take advantage of the chaos of the raid to free Hinami, effectively defecting from the CCG. But Hinami's freedom and Haise's betrayal of the CCG is not the only thing that fans can expect from “Tokyo Ghoul:re” season 2 episode 2.
Fans of the manga may remember that Haise's state of mind continues to become darker, hoping to go out in a blaze of glory during the Third Cochlea raid. While Haise will not necessarily die in “Tokyo Ghoul:re” season 2 episode 2, he will put himself in what might be unnecessary danger. This fact that Haise has a death wish makes the other spoilers just as exciting.
The publication mentions that a battle between Squad 0 leader Kishou Arima and Haise's restored identity of Ken Kaneki will occur, which will lead to Arima's death. The fight between Arima and Ken Kaneki in “Tokyo Ghoul:re” season 2 episode 2 will happen due to Arima potentially hurting Renji Yomo. Kaneki will supposedly save Yomo at the cost of becoming Arima's enemy.
Fans looking forward to seeing how Haise's defection and the upcoming battles will turn out can catch “Tokyo Ghoul:re” season 2 episode 2 when it airs on Oct. 16. Fans can stream the next episode when it comes out on Crunchyroll.
