NEW YORK, March 15, 2017 -- TransPerfect, the world’s largest privately held provider of language and technology solutions for global business, today announced that localization industry veteran Dominique Hourant has joined the company as Vice President of Strategic Accounts.
Based in TransPerfect’s Barcelona office, Hourant brings with him more than 27 years of experience in the localization and multilingual content management industry, including over 15 years at SDL where he led high-performance global teams responsible for strategic and significant enterprise accounts with complex services and technology requirements.
During his time at SDL, Hourant established market-leading innovations for machine translation, business process outsourcing, content management, and technology convergence. He helped large organizations by designing and deploying their localization and content strategies across all content types.
“I am delighted to be joining TransPerfect, and I look forward to having the opportunity to make a positive impact on my team members and fellow employees as well as on our clients,” said Hourant. “The TransPerfect culture is one that I can best describe as energizing – here I have the room, support and means to innovate, to experiment, and to have a true voice advocating for the best interests of our clients. TransPerfect has every resource and technology to enable us to develop solutions that help our clients get to the next level in their globalization efforts, and that’s exactly what I intend to do.”
“Dominique’s strong focus on building strategic partnerships, driving innovation, and supporting some of the world’s most demanding clients will without a doubt bolster TransPerfect’s ability to deliver at a high level for our clients,” said Liz Elting, Co-CEO of TransPerfect. “He is a true industry veteran, and he has the know-how and long-term perspective to excel for many years to come.”
“Combining top-level client service with industry-leading technology solutions is what TransPerfect has built our reputation on, and this matches incredibly well with Dominique’s track record in the industry,” added Phil Shawe, Co-CEO of TransPerfect. “We look forward to seeing the innovations and improvements that Dominique can bring to our strategic accounts as he helps them succeed abroad.”
