CHICAGO, April 05, 2018 -- Tronc, Inc. today announced the launch of branded content and events agency, Studio 1847. Named after the inception of tronc’s namesake brand the Chicago Tribune, Studio 1847 will serve as the brand marketing division of tronc, partnering with advertisers to engage consumers in new, innovative and experiential ways.
As tronc’s creative and strategic branding arm, Studio 1847 will work with advertisers to tell their stories through unique custom events and branded content that can be distributed across the Company’s network of channels through native advertising. By utilizing its expansive publishing portfolio, Studio 1847 has the unique ability to truly customize a brand’s story.

Studio 1847 will be led by Robin Gruen, Vice President of Branded Content; Tim Giles, Vice President of Sales; and Elsa Case, Vice President of Events.
Tronc’s events and marketing teams have already helped local and national brands, including Publix, Menards, Walgreens, Jack Daniel’s and Cadillac, reach audiences in compelling branded campaigns.
Tronc’s content studio is a recipient of a 2017 Pearl Award. It was also recognized as a 2017 and 2018 Digiday Video Award finalist and was recently named a finalist for the International News Media Alliance’s Global Media Awards.
