President Donald Trump used an early Florida ballot stop to repeat baseless claims of widespread 2020 election fraud and blame Democratic-run cities for corruption as the Nov. 3 midterms approach, Agence France-Presse (AFP) reported.

Trump and first lady Melania Trump voted in West Palm Beach on Oct. 24 before a campaign rally in Georgia, AFP reported. Trump said he voted only for Republicans.

When reporters asked whether corruption was a major concern for voters, Trump pointed to cities and districts controlled by Democrats, AFP reported. He called it “Democrat corruption.”

Trump also again asserted that he won the 2020 election while alleging widespread fraud, AFP reported. The agency described the fraud allegations as baseless.

AFP cited polls suggesting Republicans could lose the House of Representatives and possibly the Senate. A loss of the congressional majority could limit Trump’s ability to advance his agenda in the final two years of his term. EconoTimes previously covered Trump’s early vote and the Republican midterm outlook.

Democrats have said they want Congress to examine business linked to Trump and his associates through the family holding company after he returned to the White House, AFP reported. The midterm elections are scheduled for Nov. 3.
