Trump Says No Regrets Over Iran War Despite Midterm Risks

U.S. President Donald Trump said Thursday that he has no regrets about launching the war with Iran, despite growing concerns that the conflict and its economic fallout could hurt Republicans in the upcoming midterm elections.

Speaking in an interview with Fox News host Laura Ingraham, Trump rejected the idea that he would reconsider his decision to enter the Iran conflict. The president said he does not “believe in the word ‘regret,’” adding that if faced with the same circumstances again, “I would do exactly as I did.”
