Showtime’s highly anticipated series “Twin Peaks” just released some intriguing cast and set photos. These photos, which are published on Entertainment Weekly, will bring back original cast members Kyle McLachlan as Special Agent Dale Cooper, Laura Palmer (Sheryl Lee), David Duchovny as Denise Bryson, Madchen Amick as Shelly Johnson, Norma Jennings (Peggy Lipton), James Hurley (James Marshall), Albert Rosenfield (Miguel Ferrer), Lucy (Kimmy Robertson), and Deputy Andy (Harry Goaz), among others.
TimeOut noted that the photos first feature three magazine covers, but claims favorite to the one cover which shows McLachlan, Lee, Sherilyn Fenn as Audrey Horne, and co-creator David Lynch, who will also appear in the revival as FBI boss Gordon Cole, staring straight to the camera. Set photos also showed Amick as Shelly, the waitress, and boss Norma (Lipton), and Duchovny as the transgender FBI agent.
Digital Spy said the images were a relief to fans of the 1990 ABC original series, considering the fact that there was a veil of secrecy about the project. Even co-creator Mark Frost himself had admitted that he has yet to see the new episodes.
Lynch explained the secrecy and said, "There isn't really a need to have everybody read the whole script. So they get their scenes. And when we work together, they ask many questions, and they get answers. People get what they need."
“Twin Peaks” 2.0 will debut on Showtime with a two-part season premiere on May 21, Den of Geek said.
