At the end of Thursday's Taipei session, the exchange rate stood at NT$32.508 per U.S. dollar, NT$0.020 above the previous close, Central News Agency (CNA) reported. The rise reflected a weaker Taiwan dollar against the greenback.
Trading turnover totaled US$2.771 billion. The session began with the dollar at NT$32.470; it later traded as low as NT$32.450 and as high as NT$32.642.
The close followed Wednesday morning's quote of NT$32.655, covered in EconoTimes' earlier Taipei trading update.
