Gulf News reported the UAE Fuel Price Committee was expected to announce November rates on Oct. 31, after October's oil rally renewed attention to the costs behind local pump prices.

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) reviews fuel prices monthly. Emirates News Agency (WAM) says the process considers international energy conditions alongside local market needs. ADNOC Distribution lists international fuel benchmarks, transport, distribution and operating expenses among the inputs. EconoTimes has previously described how the monthly review works.

Reuters estimated October gains at nearly 13% for Brent crude and about 14% for West Texas Intermediate (WTI). Gulf News reported December Brent at $117.80 a barrel in late Friday trading, up 2.54%, and WTI at $104.66, up 2.61%. Gulf News linked the advance to risks around Middle East oil shipments and shipping disruptions that raised freight costs.

October's rates were Dh4.40 per liter for Super 98, Dh4.28 for Special 95, Dh4.21 for E-Plus 91 and Dh4.80 for diesel, Gulf News reported. At those rates, 60 liters of Special 95 cost Dh256.80. A 10-fils-per-liter change would shift the bill by Dh6 if the volume stayed the same; the calculation is illustrative, not a forecast.

The July 2022 highs were Dh4.63 per liter for Super 98, Dh4.52 for Special 95 and Dh4.44 for E-Plus 91. October's prices were lower by 23, 24 and 23 fils, respectively. The committee's November announcement was expected Oct. 31, Gulf News reported.
